This could be your new favorite pipe! I am very happy with this piece and it is one of those that if it sits around a while on the site, I will have a hard time not smoking it! First of all, I noticed what looks like a deep crevice in the shank right next to the silver in the left view. Rest assured it is not a crevice, just the shadows playing games with me. In any event, I was a bit apprehensive pondering the half saddle on this piece, and then said what the heck, just do it. I am glad I took the chance because I think it adds to the uniqueness of the piece. I do not remember making anything quite like this in the past but I think it all came together very well. I added a piece of wide silver and the design seems to work well. Not a small piece, not a large piece, I say compact would be a good description. Nice capacity and it is a solid sitter.
