What a thrill blasting this piece was! Blasting a piece of briar like this can be addictive, just keep trying to achieve a better and better blast is time consuming but very satisfying. The highlighted brown stain with the smooth top and Bakelite all came together very well. I really am pleased with this piece. I discovered a superior technique than I have been recently doing for thinning my mouthpieces and I am very happy with the thinness and comfort. I will continue to do this to my mouthpieces. This piece is rusticated then sand blasted which results in a incredibly deep, craggy, almost coral like appearance.
